Centrus Energy (LEU) experienced a significant after-hours plunge of 11.53% following the release of its fourth-quarter financial results.
The sharp decline came after the company reported quarterly earnings of $0.79 per share, which missed analyst estimates of $1.28 by 38.09%. This represents a substantial 75.31% decrease compared to earnings of $3.20 per share from the same period last year. Additionally, the company's quarterly sales of $146.200 million narrowly missed the consensus estimate of $146.343 million, marking a 3.56% year-over-year decline.
Alongside the earnings report, Centrus provided its 2026 revenue guidance, projecting revenue between $425 million and $475 million, which investors may have found underwhelming given the disappointing quarterly performance.
