AngloGold Ashanti's stock surged 5.08% during intraday trading on Friday, following the release of its robust fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results.

The miner reported a 186% jump in full-year headline earnings to $2.725 billion, driven primarily by record-high gold prices and a 16% increase in gold production to 3.1 million ounces. The company's free cash flow tripled to $2.9 billion in 2025, while adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to $6.3 billion. AngloGold also declared a Q4 interim dividend of 173 cents per share, bringing total dividends for 2025 to a record $1.8 billion.

Additionally, the company announced initial mineral reserves of 4.9 million ounces at its Arthur Gold Project in Nevada following pre-feasibility studies, marking one of the largest greenfield gold discoveries in the U.S. this century. The strong earnings performance, coupled with the significant new reserve discovery and substantial dividend payout, fueled investor optimism and drove the stock price higher.
