Immediately after the National Day holiday, airfare prices have fallen noticeably as the number of tourists has decreased, making it a great time for off-peak travel.

Data from an online travel booking platform shows that from October 10 to October 31, the average paid ticket price dropped by more than 30% compared with the National Day holiday.

On many routes, ticket prices are now lower than high-speed rail fares.

A search by the reporter found that within the past week, base fares for flights departing from Beijing to Lanzhou, Quanzhou, and Urumqi; from Shanghai to Lijiang and Shenyang; and from Guangzhou to Qingdao and Chengdu were all around 200 yuan to 300 yuan.

Ticket prices for many popular autumn travel destinations have fallen sharply.

Among them, the base fare for a Shanghai-to-Ordos flight on October 17 was 492 yuan, and the base fare for a Beijing-to-Altay flight on October 27 was 570 yuan.

At the same time, international airfare prices have also plunged significantly.

The reporter's search found that low-priced inbound and outbound tickets are on sale from multiple cities.

For example, in the past week, the lowest fare from Beijing to Seoul was more than 500 yuan, while the lowest fare from Chengdu to Bangkok and from Guangzhou to Kuala Lumpur was more than 300 yuan.

In addition, at many destinations that were highly popular during the holiday, the average hotel price has also dropped by about 20% compared with the National Day holiday.
