Travel Expert (Asia) Enterprises Limited (1235) indicated an expected loss attributable to owners of the company of not more than HK$0.5 million for the six months ended 30 September 2025, reversing from a profit of approximately HK$3.0 million in the same period of 2024.
According to the announcement, the turnaround from profit to loss was primarily tied to higher rental and staffing costs driven by an expanded number of sales outlets, additional consultancy fees and personnel expenses for back-office support projects, and weakened demand for travel products stemming from negative market sentiment linked to earthquake rumors in Japan during the first half of 2025.
The board noted that the group is focused on expanding business channels and strengthening its competitive edge. An interim results announcement is expected before the end of November 2025. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
