Donnelley Financial Solutions, Inc. (DFIN) stock plummeted 6.14% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results and second-quarter outlook.

The company reported Q1 revenue of $205.5 million, a 2.2% year-over-year increase that slightly beat analyst consensus of $204.79 million. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.45, beating the consensus estimate of $1.35. The results were driven by growth in higher-margin software solutions and cost efficiencies.

However, the stock decline appears to be driven by the company's Q2 revenue guidance of $215 million to $225 million, which falls below the analyst consensus estimate of $227.57 million. Despite the positive Q1 beat and the announcement of a new $150 million share repurchase program, investors reacted negatively to the softer revenue outlook for the upcoming quarter.
