National Vision's stock surged 5.56% during intraday trading on Wednesday, driven by the company's release of better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.

The eyewear retailer reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.15 for Q4 2025, swinging from a loss of $0.04 per share in the same period a year earlier and significantly beating the analyst consensus estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter reached $503.4 million, a 15.1% year-over-year increase that also exceeded expectations of $495.2 million. Comparable store sales grew by 6.6% during the period.

For the full fiscal year 2026, National Vision provided guidance for adjusted EPS in the range of $0.85 to $1.09, compared to the FactSet consensus estimate of $0.93. The company expects revenue between $2.03 billion and $2.09 billion, roughly in line with the $2.08 billion analyst expectation. The positive earnings surprise and return to profitability appear to be the primary catalysts for the stock's significant intraday gain.
