HAIDILAO has issued a statement regarding its policy on dining with pets. The company stated that it had been exploring a pet-friendly service model, with pilot programs at three locations: the Shenzhen Shanghefang store, the Wuhan Qunxingcheng store, and the Shenzhen Yifangcheng store. During the pilot phase, these restaurants operated in compliance with local regulations.
After a period of testing, HAIDILAO noted that the pilot program had generated diverse feedback and considerable discussion. Considering all opinions, the company has decided to terminate the pilot. Effective immediately, these three locations will no longer offer in-person pet-accompanied dining services. All other HAIDILAO outlets nationwide will continue to adhere to existing policies, which prohibit customers from bringing pets into the restaurants, with the exception of legally recognized service animals such as guide dogs.
HAIDILAO also mentioned that while the in-store pilot has ended, its commitment to pet-owning customers remains unchanged. Moving forward, the company's pet-friendly initiatives will shift entirely to online platforms, focusing on the continued development of exclusive pet food, snacks, toys, and related merchandise.
