Top Education Group Discloses Potential Student Data Breach, Begins Forensic Review

Top Education Group Ltd announced that it detected a potential data security incident on 5 August 2026 after a threat actor claimed on an underground forum to possess records allegedly linked to students enrolled in the Group’s education programmes.

The company has launched an immediate investigation to determine whether any unauthorised access or leakage of personal data occurred, the categories of data involved, the root cause and the integrity of its systems and servers.

Regulatory notifications have been filed with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency and the Australian Cyber Security Centre. Top Education Group stated it will take further legal and remedial actions, inform additional authorities as required and cooperate fully with any inquiries or investigations.

Management emphasised that, based on information available to date, the alleged incident has not caused material disruption to operations. The Board is continuing to evaluate any operational and financial impact.

Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
