On February 13, JD.com Group released its Spring Festival letter, announcing that it will allocate more than 1.3 billion yuan this Lunar New Year to provide frontline employees with benefits exceeding national standards. These benefits will include overtime pay, red envelopes, and family reunion subsidies. The letter highlighted that over the past year, JD.com has provided full social security and housing fund contributions for all 150,000 of its full-time delivery riders. Additionally, the company plans to invest 22 billion yuan over the next five years to build 150,000 "courier homes" to improve riders' living conditions.
In terms of business development, JD.com stated that it has established a global supply chain network covering 23 countries and regions. Its "super supply chain" utilizes AI and automation technologies to enhance efficiency across the entire logistics chain. Over the past year, the company has launched several innovative services in local lifestyle, retail, healthcare, and industrial sectors. The AI consumer market experienced a "breakout year," with self-developed AI toys catering to all age groups. International expansion has become a key focus for JD.com, with JD Logistics achieving "late-night ordering, morning delivery" in several European countries, gradually integrating its supply chain services into local business ecosystems.
JD.com also disclosed several corporate social responsibility initiatives, including ongoing efforts in disaster relief, developing elderly-friendly products, and supporting people with disabilities. The company was selected for the ninth consecutive time in Forbes' "World’s Best Employers" list. It has already provided 28,000 housing units for frontline employees and is constructing nearly 5,000 youth apartments in Beijing.
On the technological innovation front, JD.com plans to intensify its artificial intelligence ecosystem development over the next three years, aiming to drive a trillion-yuan scale ecosystem. Within five years, the company intends to deploy 3 million robots, 1 million unmanned vehicles, and 100,000 drones to achieve comprehensive intelligentization of its logistics supply chain.
