Recently, the Nanning Intellectual Property Protection Center organized a specialized training session on the newly revised Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China. This initiative aims to guide enterprises in understanding new regulations and preventing legal risks associated with trademark operations, thereby continuously optimizing the business environment through inclusive intellectual property public services.
During the training, Chen Xing, Executive Dean of the China-ASEAN Law School and Dean of the Law School at Guangxi University for Nationalities, delivered a lecture titled "Comprehensive Interpretation and Application Guide for the New Trademark Law." He outlined the legislative background of the amendment, combining local enforcement cases and judgments with real business scenarios. He provided detailed explanations on core topics such as trademark layout planning, standardized use, infringement risk identification, and evidence collection for overseas rights protection. He also analyzed industry challenges, including improper trademark use, cross-border malicious squatting, and geographical indication protection.
In the interactive session, representatives from enterprises, market supervision department staff, and legal professionals engaged in discussions on practical difficulties, such as trademark registration disputes, cross-border brand protection, and trademark asset management. Dean Chen Xing offered tailored solutions for each issue. Participating trainees expressed that the specialized training was closely aligned with the development needs of local industries in Nanning, effectively filling gaps in their knowledge of trademark compliance management.
This first citywide specialized training on the revised Trademark Law marks a significant step by the Nanning Intellectual Property Protection Center in focusing on the development of the private economy and expanding inclusive intellectual property public services. Moving forward, the center plans to continue broadening the coverage of intellectual property public services, enhancing the precision and professionalism of services tailored to private enterprises, and leveraging intellectual property public services to improve the business environment of the capital city, thereby supporting Nanning's high-quality development.
