At a press conference for the 2026 World Robot Conference, an official from the China Electronics Society highlighted the nation's remarkable progress in robotics. The industry has undergone a significant transformation, growing in scale and strength, and has now secured a leading position globally.
For thirteen consecutive years, China has maintained its status as the world's largest market for industrial robots. The humanoid robotics sector, in particular, is at the forefront worldwide. Rapid advancements are being made in dataset development, and substantial progress has been achieved in the physical construction of pilot-scale testing bases.
The 2026 World Robot Conference, themed "Human-Robot Symbiosis, Integration of Production and Demand," is scheduled to take place from August 19th to 23rd in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. This event represents the culmination of this developmental journey.
The upcoming conference has garnered support from nearly 30 international organizations. International speakers are expected to constitute 30% of the main forum's participants.
