Several "road-bridge-tunnel" projects in Chongqing have recently made significant progress. Here are the latest updates:

**Yuchang Expressway Connecting Road Project** The key section of the Yuchang Expressway Connecting Road Project (from Shilong Interchange to Haiteng Interchange), the Tanggui Tunnel, has achieved dual-tube breakthrough, accelerating the overall construction timeline.

The Tanggui Tunnel, spanning 613 meters, serves as the urban entry route for the Yuchang Expressway expansion. Designed as a six-lane urban expressway, it intersects with major roads such as the Inner Ring Expressway, Yuhang Avenue, Nanjiang Avenue, and the Ring Expressway. This project is a critical link in Chongqing’s "8 Horizontal, 7 Vertical, 9 Connector" expressway network, enhancing connectivity to the northeast region and integrating highways with urban expressways.

Upon completion, it will alleviate traffic congestion along the Yuchang Expressway and improve regional economic development in areas like Danzishi, Jiguan Stone, and Tangjia Tuo.

**Xin Yanweishan Tunnel** The first section of the Xin Yanweishan Tunnel project has passed final acceptance, laying a solid foundation for full operation.

Located north of the Jiqing Tunnel on the Inner Ring Expressway in Banan District, the 6.8-kilometer, six-lane project includes a 2.5-kilometer tunnel and two interchanges (Nanwenquan and Kuzhuba). Once operational, it will provide seamless access from Dadukou District to the Inner Ring Expressway and the Yuqian Expressway via the Baiyushi Yangtze River Bridge.

**Lijiatuo Parallel Bridge South Approach Project** The first prefabricated box girder for the Liangqiao Connecting Road was successfully installed, marking progress toward linking Huatao Interchange to Huaxi Interchange. Current construction focuses on pillar work at Ronghui Intersection and widening Hongguang Avenue.

As of now, the project is 57% complete, with Mawangping Interchange 98% finished, Huaxi Interchange at 43%, and Huatao Interchange at 84%.

This 2.43-kilometer project, part of the planned Rapid Road No. 4, strengthens connectivity between Banan and Jiulongpo Districts. It includes upgrades to three interchanges (Mawangping, Huaxi, and Huatao) and features the 859.8-meter Liangqiao Connecting Road Bridge as a central hub.

**Nongma Interchange** The opening of two ramps connecting the Science Avenue (Bafu direction) to Gaosheng Avenue marks the full operation of Nongma Interchange.

The interchange links Gaosheng Avenue to the Jiuyong Expressway above and Science Avenue below. The newly opened section, with a 9-meter-wide, two-lane design, improves travel efficiency between Baishiyi Town, Huayan Tunnel, and Jiangjin District/Bafu Town, benefiting nearby businesses reliant on the Jiuyong Expressway.

These projects are expected to significantly enhance Chongqing's transportation network upon completion.
