Cowell (01415) has announced its financial results for 2025. Revenue reached approximately $3.5 billion, representing an increase of about 40.3% compared to the previous year. Net profit attributable to equity shareholders amounted to around $197 million, a rise of approximately 65.4% year-on-year. Basic earnings per share were 22.9 cents, with a final dividend of HK$0.35 per share.
The growth in revenue was primarily driven by an increase in new orders for rear camera modules from customers. Throughout 2025, the group's precision optics business maintained steady development. Despite facing a complex and volatile global environment, the accelerated adoption of dynamic spatial awareness, computational photography, and on-device AI features has led to growing consumer demand for advanced optical functions in mobile devices. This trend has further increased the complexity of imaging systems and raised requirements for the specifications, precision, consistency, and reliability of optical components.
Leveraging its mature R&D system and manufacturing capabilities, the group has continued to optimize its product portfolio and cost efficiency while strengthening collaboration and engagement with key customers. As a result, it has maintained a leading position and stable competitive advantage amid ongoing industry upgrades.
During the same period, prices of certain core components in the consumer electronics supply chain experienced periodic fluctuations, with memory price volatility being particularly notable. There were market concerns about the potential impact on end-demand. Overall, however, such cost fluctuations have had a relatively limited effect on leading brand customers with strong risk resilience and industry dominance.
