Stock Track | Fluence Energy Plummets 8.85% Intraday as Clean Energy Sector Retreats and Selling Pressure Weighs

Stock Track
May 29

Fluence Energy, Inc. (FLNC) saw its stock plummet 8.85% during intraday trading on Friday, as the clean energy sector faced a broad pullback.

The decline was driven by a sector-wide retreat that pressured the stock's recent rebound momentum. Fluence Energy had previously dropped sharply after its controlling shareholder initiated a secondary offering of 20 million Class A common shares, compounded by director Qatar Investment Authority selling approximately 2.87 million shares and SPT Holding Sarl offloading roughly 10.07 million shares. Following the absorption of this concentrated selling pressure and a sector rally, the stock had rebounded above $21 over three consecutive sessions. However, the reversal in clean energy sentiment has now caused the stock to give back recent gains.

Sector peers also declined, with FuelCell Energy falling 9.88% and Plug Power dropping 4.9% in the same session, highlighting the broader sector weakness.
