Five Arrested in France for €18 Million Gold Heist

On the afternoon of October 30, around 1:40 PM local time, an armed robbery took place at a gold refining laboratory in Lyon, France. Five suspects, disguised as police officers, stormed the Prouquier Laboratory, a facility specializing in precious metal processing, including gold.

The thieves made off with a batch of precious metals, primarily gold, estimated to be worth €18 million. Witnesses reported that the entire operation lasted just seven minutes, with the perpetrators appearing calm and wearing yellow or orange armbands.

Following the robbery, local authorities acted swiftly, apprehending the suspects in an apartment in Vénissieux. The case remains under investigation.
