IM Motors announced through its official account that the L4 Robotaxi tourism route, jointly developed by IM Motors, Xiangdao Travel, and Saike Intelligence, officially commenced operations today. The service seamlessly connects Shanghai International Tourism Resort with Pudong International Airport, and users can request rides through the "Robotaxi" section of the Xiangdao Travel App.
According to the introduction, the resort route represents Shanghai's first autonomous driving demonstration project covering both highways and surface roads simultaneously. Users can summon IM L4 Robotaxi from multiple locations including Shanghai Walt Disney Resort hotels, Toy Story Hotel, Shengtaiyuan Road, and Airport Link stations, experiencing future mobility technology free of charge.
The company further revealed that during the commercialization process, IM L4 Robotaxi has accumulated over 300,000 orders, traveled more than 7 million kilometers, and served diverse scenarios including business commuting, subway connections, and leisure entertainment.
Meanwhile, the driverless L4 Robotaxi jointly launched by IM Motors with Qiangsheng Taxi and Saike Intelligence began paid operations in Lingang on August 15.
IM Motors formed a consortium with Xiangdao Travel and Qiangsheng Taxi in July this year, becoming the first to receive Shanghai's new batch of intelligent connected vehicle demonstration operation licenses.
