ENERGY INTINV (00353) announced its unaudited interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2025. The company recorded revenue of HK$73.185 million, representing a slight year-on-year decline of 0.6%. However, profit attributable to shareholders rose significantly by 68.4% to HK$35.174 million, with basic earnings per share of HK3.26 cents.
The increase in profit was primarily driven by a reversal in fair value adjustments of preference shares, which shifted from a loss of approximately HK$10 million in the same period last year to a gain of HK$11 million in the current period. This positive impact was partially offset by: (1) a change from a HK$2 million reversal of impairment losses on deposits, trade receivables, lease receivables, and other receivables under the expected credit loss model in the prior period to a HK$4 million impairment loss in the current period; (2) a HK$4 million reduction in gross profit due to increased operating costs; and (3) additional financial costs of about HK$5 million arising from new bank borrowings during the period.
