FIN STREET SEC 2025 Earnings Jump 84.33% on Robust Brokerage & Trading Growth

FIN STREET SEC (formerly Hengtai Securities) reported solid 2025 results, highlighted by strong top-line expansion and significant bottom-line improvement.

Revenue rose 27.16% year on year to RMB3.54 billion, driven mainly by brokerage and wealth management income of RMB2.18 billion, up 32.17%. Proprietary trading contributed RMB843.67 million, gaining 27.75%, while investment banking revenue increased 26.63% to RMB179.64 million.

Profit attributable to ordinary shareholders surged 84.33% to RMB324.94 million, lifting basic earnings per share to RMB0.12 (2024: RMB0.07). Net profit after tax reached RMB168.93 million, a 131.38% jump. Weighted average ROE improved 1.69 percentage points to 3.85%.

Total assets expanded 7.55% to RMB43.00 billion; total equity attributable to shareholders climbed 3.64% to RMB8.60 billion. Net capital grew to RMB6.43 billion, supporting a risk coverage ratio of 196.22%, liquidity coverage ratio of 250.01% and capital leverage ratio of 25.91%, all comfortably above regulatory minima.

The board proposes a cash dividend of RMB0.15 per 10 shares, amounting to RMB39.07 million.

Segment highlights • Brokerage & Wealth Management: turnover of stocks and funds increased 54.16% to RMB3.44 trillion; client assets under custody grew 30.67% to RMB234.33 billion. • Investment Banking: completed 56 bond issues totaling RMB12.08 billion and executed eight equity/NEEQ projects. • Investment Management: AUM reached RMB14.92 billion; Xin Hua Fund’s public-fund scale rose 2.36% to RMB57.11 billion. • Proprietary Trading: balanced equity and fixed-income strategies delivered steady gains despite market volatility.

Key initiatives included renaming to Financial Street Securities, upgrading four securities branches to branch offices, and abolishing the supervisory committee to streamline governance.

Looking ahead, the company targets “small but excellent, light but stable” growth, focusing on wealth management, digital operations and Beijing Stock Exchange opportunities while maintaining disciplined risk control and compliance.
