ASTRUM FIN (08333) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025. The group recorded revenue of HK$10.904 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 78.93%. The company reported a profit attributable to owners of HK$219,000 for the period, compared to a loss of HK$19.558 million in the same period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at HK$0.23 cents.
According to the announcement, the revenue improvement was primarily attributed to significant increases in securities and initial public offering financing interest income and brokerage commission and service fees, which rose by approximately HK$2.106 million and HK$1.899 million respectively during the period.
The turnaround from loss to profit was mainly due to a net gain of approximately HK$1.41 million arising from fair value changes of financial assets at fair value through profit or loss (FVTPL) recognized during the period, compared to a loss of approximately HK$9.855 million in the same period last year. Additionally, the company benefited from a substantial revenue increase of approximately HK$4.81 million and a reduction in administrative and other operating expenses of approximately HK$2.917 million.
