Guizhou Province has released an implementation plan to further deepen the reform of its modern vocational education system. The plan proposes supporting the development of urban industry-education consortiums to serve the Guiyang metropolitan area. Centered on Guiyang, Gui’an, and Anshun, the initiative will leverage the coordinated mechanism of Qingzhen Vocational Education Town, Huaxi University Town, the Big Data Science and Innovation City, and Guizhou Science City—collectively known as the “Four Towns”—to establish the Guizhou Digital Economy Urban Industry-Education Consortium. The plan also aims to cultivate provincial-level industry-education integration enterprises. A number of urban industry-education consortiums will be developed focusing on industries such as new comprehensive energy, advanced equipment manufacturing, and aerospace (including low-altitude economy).
