Fangshan and Zhuozhou, connected by geography and history, are now bound even tighter through a new people-focused agreement.
The Beijing Fangshan District Market Supervision Administration, in partnership with the Zhuozhou Market Supervision Administration, has introduced an innovative cross-province regulatory collaboration mechanism that delivers quality pork directly from source slaughterhouses to residents in Fangshan, making the inter-provincial "vegetable basket" a true source of convenience and satisfaction.
On-site inspections ensure source safety
On July 3, the Fangshan District Market Supervision Administration formed a working group and traveled to Zhuozhou, Hebei Province, to conduct agricultural product inspections and production-supply matching activities, laying a solid foundation for cross-province pork direct procurement.
The inspection team visited Zhuozhou Yudong Pig Slaughtering Co., Ltd. and Wangji Food Company, touring the live pig entry inspection area, slaughtering and processing workshops, and cold-chain storage facilities. They reviewed live pig sourcing channels, self-inspection procedures for banned substances such as clenbuterol, and the companies' experience in agricultural product primary processing and food safety internal control systems.
The two regulatory bodies finalized cooperation details focused on direct sourcing and coordinated oversight:
1. Unified standards: All directly sourced agricultural products strictly adhere to food safety regulations, maintaining a firm quality baseline.
2. Shared traceability data: Information systems connect production and sales data, enabling electronic purchase verification so that every product's origin can be traced and its destination tracked.
3. Joint risk management: A coordinated removal mechanism for non-compliant products has been established, implementing a "one place loses credibility, both places restrict access" regulatory approach to comprehensively strengthen the Fangshan-Zhuozhou food safety collaboration system.
Official signing brings reliable pork to Fangshan markets
Recently, the Fangshan-Zhuozhou pork direct procurement signing ceremony was successfully held. Fangshan's Jingnan Convenience Plaza and Hebei Zhuozhou Yudong Slaughterhouse officially signed the "Agricultural Product Base Direct Procurement Agreement," establishing an annual guaranteed pork supply relationship.
The agreement also clearly specifies requirements for meat exit qualifications, animal quarantine certificates, meat quality inspection certificates, and entry inspections. This collaboration significantly shortens the distribution chain, reduces transportation costs, and enables point-to-point direct supply from the standardized slaughterhouse in Zhuozhou to Fangshan's convenience markets.
With full-process oversight through the information-based regulatory platform, every product is traceable to its source and trackable to its destination. The commitment is clear: all pork comes from regulated breeding bases, passes all quality inspections, and can be traced to its origin via QR code.
Cross-regional oversight establishes a governance model for Fangshan and Zhuozhou
This direct procurement partnership marks substantial progress in Fangshan's implementation of the "origin certification plus market access" linkage, pioneering a new path for cross-regional food safety co-governance. It lays a solid foundation for safeguarding pork quality in the jurisdiction and serves as a model for Fangshan-Zhuozhou agricultural product cooperation.
