二月现房销售的改善表明，一月份较为疲弱的数据很可能受到了严酷冬季天气的影响。过去一年来，抵押贷款利率的下降使得中等收入家庭的购买力提升了约3万美元，而典型的月供金额较去年同期下降了7.7%。若抵押贷款利率能持续稳定在6%以下，或将形成心理激励，促使更多买家和卖家重返市场。
数据显示，二月份新增待售房源总计283,478套，较去年同期下降3%，但较一月份环比增长4.9%。
