Where to begin
The Tieli City Market Supervision Bureau in Heilongjiang Province recently visited key local enterprises to provide guidance on intellectual property (IP) dispute resolution and promote the newly revised Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China.
Why focus on these businesses?
Staff members visited import-export companies such as Zhonghe Wood Products and Longtai Food, as well as key local enterprises like Jiaxin Youdao, to gain a detailed understanding of their production operations and IP usage. They conducted a precise assessment of whether these companies needed guidance on handling trademark or patent disputes, and comprehensively gathered data on their overseas IP protection requirements. On-site, they distributed the Guidance Service for Handling Overseas IP Disputes and explained practical content, including risk prevention for infringement and procedures for dispute resolution. Additionally, the bureau promoted the functions of the public service (operation) platform for IP, provided a detailed interpretation of key clauses in the new Trademark Law, and guided enterprises in standardizing the management of trademarks and patents to enhance their independent rights protection and risk control capabilities, effectively delivering targeted services to benefit businesses.
Next steps
Moving forward, the Tieli City Market Supervision Bureau will continue to focus on the development needs of enterprises, regularly conducting IP-related visits, policy briefings, and support services to address difficulties. It aims to build a comprehensive IP protection system, persistently stimulate corporate innovation vitality, and safeguard the high-quality development of the regional economy.
