消息面上，丰田发言人已证实，完成向美国空中的士公司Joby Aviation投资2.5亿美元。Joby Aviation表示，公司将获得丰田的资金及生产专业知识，可提升在尖端设计及生产，以满足合作伙伴及客户需求。
丰田早于去年已承诺将向Joby Aviation投资共5亿美元。而据Joby今年早些时候表示，预计第二批2.5亿美元投资，将于今年较后时间完成。
