As the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday begins, the tourism market demonstrates robust vitality. According to Trip.com Group Limited data, on the first day of the holiday, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Nanjing, Shenzhen, and Wuhan emerged as popular domestic destinations. Outbound travel enthusiasm also surged simultaneously, with multiple destinations showing year-over-year order increases on the first day.

During this year's combined National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, trend-following "check-in" style tourism is gradually receding, with more tourists favoring personalized and immersive travel experiences. To date, customized tour sales on the Trip.com Group Limited platform during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival period have grown over 40% year-over-year.

Self-driving travel has also gained popularity. On the first day of the holiday, Trip.com Group Limited's car rental and self-driving orders increased, with average spending per order rising over 20% year-over-year. Western cities such as Urumqi, Xining, and Guiyang showed significant increases in order proportions. The average rental period also extended from 3.7 days last year to 4.8 days.

Additionally, cities located at provincial boundaries that offer "multi-destination in one trip" opportunities are attracting increasing numbers of tourists with their unique geographical advantages. Trip.com Group Limited data shows that Zhaotong in Yunnan Province saw a 70% increase in orders on the first day of the holiday, Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province increased 57%, and Shiyan in Hubei Province rose 43%.

During the holiday period, both inbound and outbound tourism showed warming trends. Trip.com Group Limited data indicates that on the first day of National Day, among outbound destinations, Japan, Hong Kong China, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, and the United States ranked highest in popularity. For inbound tourism, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Kunming, and Xi'an were the most favored destinations for international visitors on the first day of the holiday.
