Lei Jun Announces Xiaomi Foundation Has Supported Over 16,000 Students with Planned Donations Exceeding 1.78 Billion Yuan

Xiaomi founder Lei Jun disclosed on May 4 that the Xiaomi Scholarship and Financial Aid Program and the Xiaomi Young Scholars Project, established by the Xiaomi Foundation, have provided assistance to 16,220 students and 1,082 young faculty members by the end of 2025. This marks a notable expansion compared to the 12,000 students and 807 young educators supported by the end of 2024.

In March of this year, the Xiaomi Foundation highlighted its focus on three key areas: technological innovation, talent development, and disaster relief. The foundation has planned donations totaling more than 1.78 billion yuan. In the field of technological innovation, it has supported cutting-edge research through contributions to initiatives such as the "Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award." In talent cultivation, programs like the Xiaomi Young Scholars and Xiaomi Scholarship have benefited 65 universities by the end of 2025.
