Lanzhou Market Regulators Intensify Safety Inspections for Spring Festival

On February 20, the Lanzhou Market Supervision Administration continued its "Safeguarding Four Areas" special campaign, focusing on key sectors such as food and pharmaceuticals, special equipment, and fireworks sales. Inspection teams were dispatched to frontline locations, conducting zoned supervision and checks to rigorously identify and eliminate safety risks. The initiative aims to fully protect citizens' holiday consumption safety and personal property security, ensuring a peaceful and secure Spring Festival for the public.

In Anning District, inspectors visited key businesses including Tizi Impression Restaurant, Deshengtang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Lanzhou Branch 28, Lanzhou Ruifeng Tianyue Catering Co., Ltd., Tianyue Hotel, and Beijing Hualian Supermarket. They carried out thorough checks on food safety, price labeling, and product quality, while also conducting comprehensive inspections of fireworks retail outlets in the area. Business licenses and product compliance were strictly verified, with on-site corrections mandated for any issues found, reinforcing operator safety responsibilities.

The Chengguan District inspection team visited Lanzhou Cuihu Catering Management Co., Ltd., Zhongzi Street Meat and Vegetable Market, Lanzhou Jupin Huike Supermarket Co., Ltd. Chamber of Commerce Building Branch, Lanzhou Wanda Plaza, the 2026 New Year Goods Fair, and Deshengtang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Lanzhou Branch 37. Key supervision tasks included verifying documentation for food ingredient sourcing, proper storage of pharmaceuticals, and accurate price labeling. Simultaneously, fireworks operating permits and sales records were strictly examined to eliminate banned or substandard products, firmly securing fireworks safety controls.

In Qilihe District, inspectors focused on establishments such as Xinhongli Restaurant, Wensheng Restaurant, Yanlanzhenyan Catering Management Co., Ltd., Hualian Supermarket Co., Ltd. Qilihe Wanhui Branch, Foci Pharmacy Chain (Lanzhou) Co., Ltd. West Station Store, and Huochetou Night Market. Critical aspects of food safety in catering were reviewed, alongside strict verification of fireworks business licenses and product labeling. Illegal operations were penalized to effectively eliminate safety hazards.

Xigu District inspectors conducted on-site checks at Hongsheng Supermarket, Hongsheng Department Store, Xigu Central Market, and Xinyuanyuan (Gansu) Hotel Management Co., Ltd., emphasizing standardization in catering services, pharmaceutical operations, and price labeling. With no fireworks retail outlets in Xigu, the team intensified supervision in other key areas to ensure a safe and orderly holiday market.

In Honggu District, inspectors visited Lanzhou Huizheng Dental Clinic, Honggu District Haishawan Town Xiyuan Community Health Service Center, and Gansu Jinchenggou Trading Co., Ltd. As many businesses were closed during the holiday, the inspection scope was expanded to cover operational licenses, health management of catering staff, food sample retention, record-keeping, food storage, and price labeling. While strengthening food and drug safety oversight, special emphasis was placed on fireworks regulation, with each retail outlet inspected for permits, sales records, and product quality. Illegal sales of unlabeled, expired, or non-compliant fireworks were strictly prohibited to reinforce safety measures.

In Yongdeng County, inspectors conducted rigorous door-to-door checks at six fireworks retail outlets in Heqiao, Liancheng, Tongyuan, and Pingcheng Towns. Illegal sales of unlabeled or expired fireworks were confiscated and penalized on-site, with pricing irregularities promptly corrected. The team also visited Lanzhou Jiayonghua Trading Co., Ltd., Yongdeng County People's Hospital, and Yongdeng County Jingtianlei Fireworks Store to inspect special equipment, food, and pharmaceutical safety. The strictest standards were applied to ensure full-chain fireworks supervision, firmly upholding holiday safety protocols.
