CGN New Energy buys back 5.19 million shares for about HK$11.11 million; issued share count unchanged at 4.29 billion

CGN New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. disclosed on 16 September 2026 that it repurchased a total of 5.19 million ordinary shares on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong between 1 and 16 September 2026. The buybacks represent approximately 0.12% of the company’s 4.29 billion issued shares.

The shares were repurchased under the mandate approved on 28 May 2026, which authorises the company to buy back up to 428.99 million shares. Following the latest transactions, only about 1.21% of the mandate has been utilised, leaving roughly 423.80 million shares still available for future repurchases.

Purchase prices ranged from HK$2.10 to HK$2.17 per share, with a volume-weighted average of roughly HK$2.14. Based on the disclosed prices and volumes, the aggregate consideration for the 12 transactions is estimated at about HK$11.11 million.

All repurchased shares are intended for cancellation and had not yet been cancelled as of the disclosure date; consequently, the company’s issued share capital remains at 4.29 billion shares.

In line with Hong Kong Listing Rule 10.06(3), the company is subject to a 30-day moratorium on issuing new shares, lasting until 16 October 2026. Chairman and Executive Director Hu Guangyao confirmed that the repurchases complied with all applicable listing rules and regulatory requirements.
