United Rentals' stock surged 9.17% in post-market trading on Wednesday, following the release of its second-quarter financial results.
The equipment rental giant reported quarterly revenue of $4.41 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $4.22 billion. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $12.76, significantly exceeding expectations of $11.53 and representing a 22% increase from the same period last year.
Driving the positive sentiment, the company raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $17.5 billion to $17.8 billion, up from its previous outlook of $16.9 billion to $17.4 billion. United Rentals also lifted its adjusted EBITDA forecast, citing strong customer demand for equipment rentals from large construction and industrial projects as key growth drivers.
