On September 18, the administrative penalty disclosure table from the Yingtan Branch of the People's Bank of China revealed that the Yingtan Branch of Industrial And Commercial Bank Of China Limited had been penalized for breaching financial statistical regulations, payment and settlement business rules, and anti-counterfeit currency management provisions.

Additionally, the bank was found to have occupied fiscal deposits or funds, violated regulations concerning the collection, provision, and inquiry of credit information, and breached anti-money laundering business management rules. As a result, the branch received a warning and a fine of 999,500 yuan from the central bank's Yingtan branch.

The penalties highlight ongoing regulatory scrutiny over compliance failures in the financial sector, particularly in areas of data reporting, fund management, and internal controls.
