Shares of the Kingboard group continued to climb during the early trading session after the company issued positive profit alerts. At the time of writing, KB LAMINATES (01888) rose 6.18% to HK$21.64, while KINGBOARD HLDG (00148) advanced 3.53% to HK$38.12. According to the profit alert announcement from KINGBOARD HLDG, the group anticipates a net profit increase of over 165% for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, translating to a net profit exceeding HK$4.32 billion. KB LAMINATES expects its net profit for 2025 to surpass HK$2.39 billion, representing year-on-year growth of more than 80%. KINGBOARD HLDG stated that the significant rise in net profit for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, is primarily attributed to increased segment profits from the group's investment business and its copper-clad laminate operations. Strong demand for copper-clad laminates and their upstream materials, including glass fiber yarn, glass fiber fabric, and copper foil, has led to notable increases in the average selling prices of these products, alongside higher sales volumes compared to the same period in 2024. Market demand remains robust.
