NIO-SW Shares Surge Nearly 6% on Strong May Delivery Figures and New Product Launches

NIO-SW (HKEX: 09866) shares rose nearly 6% in the afternoon session, extending earlier gains.

By the time of writing, the stock was up 5.93% to HK$45.02, with a trading volume of HK$1.34 billion.

The company announced its May 2026 delivery figures, reporting the delivery of 37,705 new vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 62.3% and a month-on-month increase of 28.4%.

Within this total, the NIO brand delivered 20,013 vehicles, up 50.8% year-on-year.

The Onvo brand delivered 12,029 vehicles, surging 91.5% year-on-year and 124.8% month-on-month.

The Firefly brand delivered 5,663 vehicles, marking a 53.9% year-on-year and a 13.7% month-on-month increase.

For the first five months of the year, NIO delivered a total of 150,526 vehicles, a 68.7% increase compared to the same period last year.

Cumulatively, the company has now delivered 1,148,118 vehicles to date.

May marked a period of intensive new product launches and deliveries for the company.

The NIO ES9, its flagship tech executive SUV, officially launched and began deliveries on May 27.

The Onvo L80 officially launched and began deliveries on May 15.

The 2026 Onvo L90 model commenced deliveries on May 9.

The new Onvo L60 made its official debut and began pre-sales at the 30th Greater Bay Area Auto Show on May 29, with display vehicles now arriving at showrooms nationwide ahead of its official launch on June 11.
