Piaowei Town is renowned for its sweet persimmon industry, which serves as a vital pillar for boosting local incomes and driving prosperity. Currently, the town's sweet persimmon cultivation spans over 30,000 mu, involving close to 4,000 farming households. Among these, the specialty early-season "Zaoqiu" variety covers an area of more than 300 mu, with an estimated total output of 100 tonnes this year. By reaching the market before the "Chushu" solar term, this variety positions itself as a pioneer in the autumn fruit market.

Beyond its early availability, the "Zaoqiu" sweet persimmon stands out for its distinctive taste, perfectly capturing the transitional flavor of late summer and early autumn. Through livestream marketing, the town has kicked off a month-long prime tasting sales period. E-commerce channels now serve as the primary sales route for this variety, with a direct-from-branch picking and immediate shipping model to guarantee maximum freshness. During the sales window, an average daily shipment of 5 tonnes is expected, with a platform price of 20 yuan per kilogram. The fruit is mainly destined for markets in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, allowing consumers across the country to savor the authentic taste of Baoshan's "Zaoqiu" sweet persimmons without leaving home.
