On the afternoon of October 21, reports emerged regarding a temporary issue with the shopping credit system on Tmall, which coincided with the start of the Double 11 shopping event on October 20. Some consumers noted that their credit recharges were not immediately reflected in their accounts.
In response, Alibaba representatives stated that after the Tmall Double 11 sales began at 8 PM, the number of users recharging shopping credits surged to nearly ten million within minutes, leading to a system malfunction. The issue was fully resolved before 10 PM, with all deposited funds correctly displayed and no impact on consumers' subsequent usage or fund security.
