At the 2025 results briefing held by BANKCOMM on March 27, Deputy Governor Yin Jiuyong stated that as the only centrally-administered financial institution headquartered in Shanghai, BANKCOMM has a deep understanding of the strategic rationale behind the Party Central Committee's decision to locate its headquarters in the city.
Reviewing the performance in 2025, the visibility and contribution of the Shanghai home base construction have been further enhanced, and its innovation testing functions have been significantly strengthened.
Over the past year, BANKCOMM has continuously improved the quality and efficiency of its services to the real economy in Shanghai. In 2025, the bank's RMB general loan growth in the Shanghai region reached 91.5 billion yuan, an increase of over 16%, ranking among the top in the market. Its market share increased by 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous year. Investment projects by the bank's subsidiaries in the Shanghai area also hit a record high. While investment steadily grew, asset quality remained at a favorable level. By the end of last year, the non-performing loan ratio of BANKCOMM in the Shanghai region was significantly lower than the average for domestic banks.
In terms of operational performance, the operating profit of BANKCOMM's Shanghai branch accounted for 12% of the system-wide contribution in 2025. The net profit of BANKCOMM's controlled subsidiaries in Shanghai represented 10% of the group's total net profit.
Looking ahead, Yin Jiuyong indicated that BANKCOMM will maintain its strategic focus on developing its Shanghai home base. The bank will continue to increase resource allocation to Shanghai and key areas in the Yangtze River Delta, sustain relatively high growth rates for deposits and loans in the region, and drive steady improvements in profitability and profit contribution.
