On August 26th, at the production facility of Wafangdian Shengwo Fruit Industry Co., Ltd., workers were busy sorting and packaging a batch of export apples in an orderly manner. After inspection and approval by officials from Dalian Changxing Island Customs, this 247.6-ton shipment of apples will be exported to Thailand.
Just a few months ago, Shengwo Fruit Industry was facing the dual challenges of inventory backlog and incoming new fruit storage. Upon learning of this situation, Dalian Changxing Island Customs immediately established a dedicated support team, leveraging their functional advantages to help the company with overseas market registration work for different fruit types and grades in regions including North America, Australia, and Central Asia. They also established a "green channel" for fruit exports, conducting inspection operations simultaneously during fruit processing and packaging, achieving same-day completion of the entire export process including declaration, inspection, clearance, and certification.
Since the beginning of this year, Dalian Changxing Island Customs has helped companies in its jurisdiction clear over 95% of their fruit inventory. According to statistics, from January to July this year, the customs authority has supervised the export of 15,000 tons of fruit valued at 110 million yuan, representing year-on-year increases of 36% and 37.5% respectively.
