Pixel 10 Series Faces "Screen Flickering" Issues Just Weeks After Launch with Starting Price Near $800

September 2nd - Multiple users have reported experiencing "screen flickering" problems with their newly purchased Pixel 10 smartphones just days after receiving the devices.

A user named Stephan reported that his standard Pixel 10 suddenly developed screen issues during use, with the entire display showing colorful snow-like patterns. Several other users on Reddit forums have also reported identical problems affecting both the standard Pixel 10 and Pro versions.

Fortunately, these issues do not appear to be hardware-related. Affected users noted that despite the screen flickering, their phones remained responsive, and the display problems would resolve automatically after some time. This suggests the issue may be related to display driver software rather than hardware damage.

Alphabet has since reached out to affected users on Reddit to collect information about the malfunctions and has promised to provide a detailed fault report in the near future. For consumers who invested significant money in purchasing these premium new devices at launch, the sudden appearance of screen issues represents a disappointing user experience.

The Alphabet Pixel 10 series was released on August 21st, less than half a month ago. All models feature Alphabet's proprietary Tensor G5 processor and Titan M2 security co-processor. The standard version includes 12GB of memory, while the Pro version offers 16GB. Both support Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging with Qi2 certification and maximum power output of 15W. The series starts at $799 (approximately 5,701 RMB at current exchange rates).
