EVERG SERVICES (06666) surged more than 6% in early trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. As of the latest update, the stock rose 3.81% to HK$1.225, with a trading turnover of HK$41.477 million.

According to a Bloomberg report citing sources familiar with the matter, private equity firms such as PAG, Warburg Pincus, and Trustar Capital are preparing to submit acquisition offers. The move follows failed exclusive talks between the liquidator of China Evergrande Group and Guangdong Tourism Holding Group, which prompted these private equity firms to rejoin the bidding process. Representatives for the Evergrande liquidator, PAG, Trustar Capital, and Warburg Pincus all declined to comment.
