DYNAM JAPAN (06889) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, DAIL, entered into a purchase agreement with SMBC on October 30, 2025 (European time). Under the agreement, SMBC agreed to sell, and DAIL agreed to purchase and take delivery of an aircraft engine currently leased by SMBC to Wizz under a leasing arrangement.
Upon completion of the transaction, SMBC will assign the existing lease agreement with Wizz to DAIL. The acquisition of aircraft and related engines falls within the group's ordinary business operations.
The board believes the purchase will enhance the group's asset portfolio. Since the engine is currently leased to Wizz, the arrangement is expected to generate stable returns for the group. Additionally, as Wizz is an existing airline client, management anticipates the acquisition will expand collaboration opportunities and solidify long-term partnerships. The move is also expected to strengthen the group's integrated asset management capabilities within the aviation value chain.
