On October 28, Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) successfully issued its second tranche of perpetual bonds for 2025 in the interbank market, with a total issuance size of 40 billion yuan and a coupon rate of 2.27%.
ABC stated that the proceeds from this bond issuance will be used to supplement the bank's Tier 1 capital, which will help improve its capital adequacy ratio and further enhance its ability to serve the real economy and withstand risks.
