IMPERIUM TEC GP (ASX: 00776) has issued a profit warning, forecasting a net loss of approximately HK$65 million for the fifteen-month period ending March 31, 2026.

This projected loss represents a significant increase compared to the net loss of about HK$41.7 million reported for the year ended December 31, 2024.

The company's board has attributed the expected deterioration in results to several key factors.

Firstly, financing costs are anticipated to rise by roughly HK$11.3 million, primarily due to higher effective interest rates and the impact of changing the financial year-end date, which extends the reporting period to fifteen months from the previous twelve.

Secondly, an increase in impairment losses on cryptocurrencies and related deposits and receivables, estimated at HK$3.3 million, is expected, driven by a decline in the market value of digital assets.

Finally, corporate overheads are projected to increase by approximately HK$5.7 million, also largely a consequence of the extended reporting period resulting from the change in the financial year-end date.
