On November 6, 2025, Canon (China) Co., Ltd. launched the powerful full-frame mirrorless camera EOS R6 Mark III. As part of Canon's core standard full-frame lineup, the EOS R6 series caters to advanced photography enthusiasts, casual users, and professional photographers alike, while also serving as a versatile tool for content creators and videographers. Compared to its predecessor, the EOS R6 Mark III delivers improved photo quality and significantly enhanced video capabilities, solidifying its position as a top-tier hybrid camera for diverse user needs.
The EOS R6 Mark III features a next-generation 32.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor paired with the advanced DIGIC X image processor, achieving high-resolution performance with low noise. Its high pixel count is ideal for portrait and landscape photography, capturing fine details even in distant scenes. With a maximum standard ISO of 64,000, the camera maintains clean images in low-light conditions, whether shooting night skies or indoor events.
Despite its high resolution, the EOS R6 Mark III retains impressive burst shooting speeds—up to 40 fps with electronic shutter and 12 fps with mechanical shutter. The camera also introduces a 0.5-second pre-shooting buffer (20 frames) in RAW, JPEG, or HEIF formats, improving capture success for fast-moving subjects. Its in-body 5-axis stabilization offers up to 8.5 stops of compensation when paired with compatible RF lenses, and it debuts subject-tracking IS for steadier handheld video recording.
The autofocus system has been upgraded with Canon's second-generation Dual Pixel CMOS AF, ensuring precise tracking even at 40 fps. New algorithms enhance subject tracking stability, while features like registered person priority (borrowed from the EOS R3) improve focus accuracy in crowded scenes. The camera recognizes people, animals, and vehicles (including planes and trains) with higher precision. Videographers gain cinema-grade tools like adjustable focus speed (10 levels) and subject transition sensitivity (5 levels).
For video, the EOS R6 Mark III supports uncropped 7K/60p RAW (Light) internal recording—a first for Canon's full-frame cameras—alongside 4K/120p and FHD/180p slow motion. Its full-sensor readout enables flexible cropping for horizontal/vertical formats, while Cinema Gamut and Canon Log 2/3 provide extensive grading flexibility. Additional pro features include waveform monitors, zebra stripes, and 3D VR video support.
The magnesium-alloy body retains weather sealing and adds a tally light for recording status. Dual card slots (CFexpress Type B and SD) accommodate high-speed workflows, and the new LP-E6P battery supports extended shooting. A full-size HDMI port and USB power delivery further enhance usability for professionals.
