美国民主党众议员Raja Krishnamoorthi周四敦促美国汽车安全监管机构加强对特斯拉驾驶辅助系统的监管，重点防范车主滥用Autopilot及全自动驾驶系统（FSD）。
Krishnamoorthi在致美国交通部长Sean Duffy的信中援引NBC News调查称，目前已发现43段视频显示特斯拉车主在车辆行驶期间疑似在驾驶座睡觉，其中17段拍摄于今年。他认为，这些案例反映部分驾驶员可能对特斯拉驾驶辅助功能产生过度依赖。
Krishnamoorthi因此要求美国国家公路交通安全管理局（NHTSA）采取行动，确保汽车制造商设置足够的安全防护措施，防止驾驶员对相关系统进行可预见的滥用，同时降低驾驶员因自动驾驶功能而放松警惕的风险。
目前，特斯拉Autopilot及FSD仍属于驾驶辅助系统，要求驾驶员在车辆行驶过程中保持注意力，并在必要时随时接管车辆。
