Kuaishou Philanthropy has officially launched the "Help Academy" plan, which will invest tens of millions in funds and 30 billion in platform traffic. The initiative focuses on three core modules: "short video + live streaming + AI." Through measures such as inclusive online and offline training, donating and constructing shared live streaming studios, and implementing a teacher training program, the plan aims to create a complete pathway from talent development to income generation, comprehensively boosting digital skills.

It is reported that the "Help Academy" plan represents a comprehensive upgrade of Kuaishou Philanthropy's previous "Happiness Lecture Hall" project. By the end of 2025, the "Happiness Lecture Hall" had reached over 50 counties and cities across China, helping nearly 2 million people acquire digital skills in "short video + live streaming." Additionally, 12 standardized "shared live streaming studios" were donated and built in 8 provinces and municipalities, assisting local communities in embracing digital technology and promoting regional development.

Song Tingting, Vice President of Kuaishou Technology and Chairman of the Kuaishou Philanthropy Foundation, stated: "'Help Academy' is a further upgrade of Kuaishou Philanthropy's commitment to the concept of 'technology inclusion.' We hope that through systematic training, hardware donations, traffic support, and teacher training—providing full-chain support—more people can master 'short video + live streaming + AI' skills, find their own development opportunities in the digital era, and achieve a win-win situation for both personal and social value."

Talent is a crucial driver for digital technology to empower rural revitalization and regional development. In 2023, Kuaishou Philanthropy initiated the "Happiness Lecture Hall" project, providing online and offline vocational training in new media skills for groups including rural content creators, women, seniors, young entrepreneurs, and people with disabilities. The project also involved donating shared live streaming studios and establishing live e-commerce bases. Through this digital empowerment system of "inclusive academy + shared live streaming studios + teacher training program," more people have gained digital skills, promoting talent revitalization.

Over the past three years, the "Happiness Lecture Hall" has benefited nearly 2 million people. It has not only provided employment and entrepreneurship paths for young people engaged in rural revitalization but also broadened the channels for agricultural products to reach wider markets, increasing villagers' incomes. A number of outstanding trainees have continued to influence their surrounding areas, promoting the sustained development of regional industries and community economies.

Xiong Qin, a young woman from Fengjie, Chongqing, who previously worked in a Shenzhen electronics factory, returned to her hometown in 2019 and began documenting rural life through her Kuaishou account. After participating in the "Happiness Lecture Hall" session in Chongqing in 2023, her entrepreneurial journey transformed significantly. By 2025, she had received a shared live streaming studio donated by Kuaishou Philanthropy and systematically mastered e-commerce live streaming skills. Today, Xiong Qin sells her family's pork through live streams and also helps elderly villagers sell their products via live streaming, enabling previously unsold agricultural products to reach a national audience.

Liang Qianjuan, known as "Shopkeeper Liang" from Longnan, Gansu, is another rural content creator who returned to her hometown to start a business. In recent years, she has organized over 100 live streaming sessions through Kuaishou, helping more than 10 farmers' cooperatives promote new products. In 2024, Kuaishou Philanthropy donated a shared live streaming studio to her, providing free access to equipment, training, and product resources for the entire village. Consequently, more residents of Longnan have gained new opportunities, and local specialty agricultural products have reached broader markets through digital channels, increasing incomes for over 300 households.

Leveraging this new model of digital empowerment, Kuaishou Philanthropy's "Happiness Lecture Hall" has received widespread recognition from various sectors, earning honors such as "2024 Top Ten Outstanding Cases of Chinese New Media Public Welfare," "Best Poverty Reduction Case in the 5th Global Poverty Reduction Case Collection Activity," and "2024 Top Ten Outstanding Cases of Social Responsibility for Online Audiovisual Enterprises." The project has also attracted participation from Kuaishay influencers, who have joined efforts to support rural revitalization through public welfare live streams and donations.

Building on three years of practice with the "Happiness Lecture Hall" project, Kuaishou Philanthropy conducted a comprehensive upgrade in 2026 regarding the curriculum system and project model, officially launching the "Help Academy" plan. The initiative will invest tens of millions in funds and 30 billion in traffic, focusing on the three core modules of "short video + live streaming + AI." It aims to enhance the digital skills of diverse groups, including rural revitalization leaders, young entrepreneurs, vocational school teachers and students, members of public welfare organizations, elderly care practitioners, and people with disabilities, to help them achieve high-quality employment and entrepreneurship.

In terms of curriculum, the "Help Academy" plan will improve the course system, encompassing online courses, offline courses, teaching materials, and lecture notes. While continuing to provide efficient, high-quality training services to empower rural communities and seniors, the plan will newly extend support to vocational school teachers and students, as well as public welfare organizations, to enhance their professional capabilities in short video, live streaming, and AI.

Regarding the model, the inclusive academy will continue to offer widespread training through sessions led by trained instructors, while also strengthening the course library by continuously updating online and offline training content to ensure it keeps pace with industry demands. This supports lecturers in persistently participating in digital skills training and iteratively optimizing their own capabilities. The shared live streaming studios will be upgraded into comprehensive functional hubs combining "live streaming studio + training base + storage center." The teacher training program will adopt a standardized three-day offline course format to improve training efficiency and mobilize excellent instructors from various fields, providing sustainable momentum for rural revitalization, the elderly care industry, vocational education, and other sectors.

On this foundation, Kuaishou Philanthropy will also collaborate with its magnet star platform to launch masterclasses, inviting top influencers, renowned lecturers, and industry experts to participate in teaching. Through support for monetization and income increase within the platform's influencer ecosystem, post-training services for instructor trainees will be enhanced. Simultaneously, the incentive mechanism for instructor trainees will be further improved, including providing cash rewards and traffic coupons, and integrating access to shared live streaming studios and magnet star masterclasses into the incentive system.

After the upgrade, the "Help Academy" plan will also initiate a new project focused on empowering vocational schools. This involves implementing a short video live streaming e-commerce curriculum system and project-based practical training within vocational colleges, accompanied by relevant support services to promote the integration of industry and education and alleviate the current mismatch between vocational education content and market demands.

Looking ahead, Kuaishou Philanthropy's "Help Academy" plan will help more people enhance their "short video + live streaming + AI" digital skills, enabling employment, entrepreneurship, and increased income. It will drive rural revitalization, industrial revitalization, and social development, while effectively bridging the digital divide, allowing society to share the benefits of the digital era, and injecting new momentum into regional economic development.

Zhou Guangsu, Vice Dean of the China Institute for Employment and Livelihood at Renmin University of China, commented that Kuaishou Philanthropy's "Help Academy," through its full-chain support of "training + hardware + teacher training," transforms the key production tools of the digital era into "new vocational general skills" for ordinary workers. It delivers digital infrastructure to the countryside and embeds technological inclusion into the real structures of employment and livelihoods.
