The fifth Global Digital Trade Expo concluded on September 27 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The event attracted 2,008 companies exhibiting on-site, with total attendance reaching 428,000 visits, according to the expo's results conference.
More than 50,000 professional buyers attended to make purchases during the expo, a 20 percent increase from the previous edition.
With the annual theme "Meet the AI Future at the Digital Trade Expo," this year's event highlighted artificial intelligence, featuring 226 "debut, first-show, first-exhibit" items spanning digital healthcare, digital entertainment, digital travel and other fields.
A total of 996 AI companies exhibited, roughly three times the number from the previous edition, bringing over 100 AI application scenarios.
More than 12,000 international buyers participated, further expanding the expo's international circle of friends.
The expo also unveiled key platforms including the China headquarters of the Arab Digital Economy Alliance, and released over 100 authoritative reports, rankings, initiatives and consensus documents including the Global Digital Trade Development Report 2026, promoting international public goods such as China's meteorological intelligent early warning solution "Mazu" to benefit developing countries.
In terms of industry-trade matchmaking, the expo established cooperation with 132 overseas business associations, pre-collected procurement demand lists in advance, and held over 50 specialized trade matching events.
Concurrent events included the World AI Open Source Competition, the Embodied Intelligence Application Challenge, and the Global Brain-Computer Interface Innovation Competition, attracting over 10,000 teams to compete, effectively promoting the transformation and application of digital technologies.
