Free Toll Policy for Small Passenger Cars on National Toll Roads During National Day Holiday

Recently, at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, Vice Minister of Transport Li Yang stated that from 0:00 on October 1 to 24:00 on October 7, the policy of exempting tolls for small passenger cars with 7 seats or fewer on toll roads during major holidays will continue to be implemented.

The free vehicles include passenger vehicles with 7 seats or fewer (including 7 seats) and motorcycles permitted to travel on ordinary toll roads. How is the free period calculated? For expressways, it is based on the time when the vehicle exits the toll station's toll lane.

Special reminder: When entering the expressway through a manual lane, it is not recommended to exit through an ETC lane. Car owners are advised to try to choose the same type of lane (i.e., enter and exit through the same type of lane) to avoid unnecessary trouble, especially for ETC vehicles. In particular, if you entered the expressway through a manual lane, do not choose an ETC lane when exiting, otherwise normal passage will not be possible. Because there is no entry information, the exit barrier will not lift, and you can only turn back to exit through a manual lane.
