The company announced that its indirectly held non-wholly owned subsidiary, Wanda Chicago, has entered into an agreement with Sony's CPE to exchange 16 Chicago apartment units for a 49% stake in Vampire Squid Productions. The target company operates the intellectual property rights of the popular children's series "Octonauts," possessing robust IP assets.

WANDA HOTEL DEV stated that it had been seeking buyers for the 37 apartment units held by Wanda Chicago. This transaction allows the company to enter the lucrative cultural IP operations sector, diversifying and expanding beyond its traditional business boundaries. The deal aligns with the company's strategy to identify suitable investment opportunities in domestic and international cultural tourism industries.
