Great Wall Motor Chairman Wei Jianjun recently shared a preview of a new vehicle model through social media platforms. In his post, he stated: "In traditional Chinese culture, the qilin is regarded as an auspicious mythical beast, majestic and solemn, guarding all directions. We have integrated this essence of Eastern culture into our new luxury flagship model." Wei Jianjun also accompanied the text with an image of a vehicle covered by a car cover, inviting netizens to speculate on the specific model.

From the released teaser image, the front-end轮廓隐约 visible beneath the cover bears a close resemblance to the design style of the Tank 700. Combined with the "Hi4-Z" related information mentioned by Wei Jianjun and previously leaked model application images, industry observers speculate that this new vehicle is likely the Tank 700 Hi4-Z version.

Compared to the existing Tank 700 Hi4-T model, the Tank 700 Hi4-Z adopts a more sporty design language. The new model features a honeycomb-style front grille, a redesigned front bumper with an added front lip spoiler. The engine hood incorporates a dedicated air intake, and a lidar unit is positioned on the roof.

On the vehicle's side profile, newly designed dark-colored alloy wheels are offered, available in either 20-inch or 21-inch sizes. According to application information, the vehicle's dimensions are 5,105 mm in length, 2,061 mm in width, and 1,985 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

The rear design also emphasizes a sporty feel, with a prominent roof spoiler. The rear bumper features a new design, complemented by a rear diffuser trim panel. The spare tire cover is marked with a dedicated "GWM TANK" logo.

Regarding the powertrain, the new model is expected to be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged plug-in hybrid system, where the engine delivers a maximum power output of 185 kilowatts. It is paired with a ternary lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 59.05 kilowatt-hours. The vehicle boasts a pure electric range of 190 kilometers under the CLTC test cycle and a fuel consumption of 8.45 liters per 100 kilometers.
