CoreWeave, Inc. (CRWV) shares surged 5.01% in pre-market trading on Friday, extending the prior session's strong rally as a confluence of positive catalysts lifted the AI cloud computing provider.

The upward momentum was driven by several factors. Microsoft's cloud business reported better-than-expected results, which broadly lifted sentiment across next-generation cloud service providers. Additionally, Oppenheimer published a research note indicating that CoreWeave's Q2 revenue is expected to come in at the high end of its $2.45 billion to $2.60 billion guidance range, while maintaining an outperform rating and a $150 price target. Separately, CoreWeave successfully improved the terms on a $2.6 billion loan intended to provide additional computing capacity for clients including Anthropic, easing prior concerns around debt management and the company's high-leverage expansion model.

The AI cloud company also announced a collaboration with Leidos to deliver secure, sovereign AI cloud services for U.S. intelligence and defense missions, further underscoring its expanding role in national security AI infrastructure. Broader sentiment was also supported by reports that Citadel had acquired the bulk of Situational Awareness's stock holdings, including a position in CoreWeave, after the AI-focused hedge fund faced heavy losses and was forced to unwind its public equities portfolio, helping to stabilize the stock.
