Emerson stated that its underlying orders grew by 9% year-over-year, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of growth. Net sales increased by 4% compared to the prior year, with underlying sales growth of 2%. Operating cash flow decreased by 10% year-over-year to $699 million, while free cash flow declined by 13% to $602 million, reflecting the timing of working capital and higher interest expenses. Emerson updated its performance outlook for fiscal year 2026 and announced plans to return approximately $2.2 billion to shareholders through a combination of roughly $1 billion in share repurchases and about $1.2 billion in dividends. The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.555 per share, payable on March 10th to shareholders of record on February 13th. Emerson forecasts fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings per share to be in the range of $6.40 to $6.55 (raised from a prior guidance of $6.35 to $6.55), with net sales growth of approximately 5.5%, driven by sustained demand for its automation technologies in North America, India, the Middle East, and Africa.
